Danica Toh
Psychosomatic Therapist and Counsellor
Kia ora, my name is Danica (She/They), and I’m a therapist specialising in somatic approaches that integrate Eastern wisdom with Western science, grounded in an appreciation for the many cultures and experiences people bring. My roots in sports and exercise studies, together with training in integrative psychosomatic therapy, shaped my understanding of the body-mind connection.
This foundation naturally evolved into deeper therapeutic work, supporting, individuals managing psychosomatic pain or healing from sexual trauma, rangatahi and their whānau navigating addictions and members of rainbow and neurodiverse communities.
In my practice, I draw from modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Integrated Somatic Trauma Therapy, mindfulness, self-compassion, and sound therapy. Depending on each person’s needs, I may also weave in elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), sensory modulation, and therapeutic yoga.
My hope in therapy is to offer a non-judgemental and nurturing space where you feel supported to explore your inner world with curiosity and compassion.
