Rent rooms at Kanuka House

We have a beautiful new space to rent for like-minded professionals in Tauranga, ideal for anyone requiring space for counselling and other client-facing services.

The impressive NZ native Kanuka tree plays an important role in our ecosystem by growing in unfavourable conditions (windy,exposed places) and once established, they make shelter for other native species to grow and flourish such as the Kauri and Rimu. In time, the now stronger Kauri and Rimu outgrow the Kanuka and establish themselves proudly in the forest supporting native birds and the lower level flora and fauna; they no longer need the support and shelter of the Kanuka tree and now contribute to the wider ecosystem in an important way.

Symbolically, we see our role at Kanuka House similarly in sheltering/protecting our clients from the harsh conditions/experiences of the world until they are able ground and centre themselves for the journey of growing their voice, courage and strength. And just like the Kanuka, in time, our clients no longer need the level of support/protection our therapists offer them; at that time, they themselves become protectors; for themselves, their community and their family/whanau.
