Elise Martyn

Clinical Psychologist

Elise is a skilled Clinical Psychologist with a warm, supportive and empathetic approach to therapy. She is trained in applying a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy.
 
Following her clinical training, Elise gained nearly a decade of experience by providing assessments and treatment (individual and group therapy) within both community and prison settings. She has recently established her own private practice where she works with adults experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, and relationship difficulties.
 
Originally from the Waikato, Elise lived in Dunedin and Auckland, before settling in Tauranga. She is kept on her toes as mum to three energetic young children. Elise thrives on spending quality time with her family and friends, and especially enjoys activities that bring her close to nature. She is fortunate that her passion for psychology fuels her other hobbies and she is committed to ongoing personal and professional growth.
